England Threatens Brazil At Wembley Stadium

Selecao were on the front foot early on with Neymar and Marcelo threatening down the left wing.

Gabriel Jesus came close to opening the scoring in the 15th minute following a brilliant cross from Dani Alves from the right wing but his downward header was saved by Joe Hart.

Neymar tested Hart from 25-yards out in the 31st minute after beating a couple of players but his strike sailed over the crossbar.

The Three Lions recovered from the dominance by their visitors and had chances with Marcus Rashford and Eric Dier on transitions but nothing really came out of it.

Marcelo had a chance on the stroke of halftime but he fluffed his chance inside the area after combining well with Paulinho and the first stanza ended scoreless.

Jesus had a chance at the back post 10 minutes after the resumption of play from the break but his header missed inches wide.

With the visitors pushing for an opener, Tite made a double substitution in the 70th minute, bringing on Willian in place of Philippe Coutinho and Fernandinho in for Renato Augusto.

Marcelo released Willian in the 81st minute with a defence splitting pass but the Chelsea man was flagged offside after racing clear on goal.

In the 90th minute, Neymar won the ball in the middle of the park from Jesse Lingard and raced towards the goals past a couple of players but his shot from the edge of the box missed wide.

Nevertheless, the score remained goalless at the full-time whistle as England draw a blank for the second successive game.
